Nearest Airports
There are several airports to reach the venue:
- Rijeka Airport (RJK): Located on the island of Krk, about 30 km from Rijeka city center. There are buses and taxis available from the airport to Rijeka.
- Zagreb Airport (ZAG): Croatia’s largest airport, located about 10 km from Zagreb city center. Regular buses and taxis are available to the city center, from where you can take a bus to Rijeka or drive directly.
- Trieste Airport (TRS): Located about 40 km from Trieste city center. From the airport, you can take a shuttle bus / train to Trieste and then proceed by bus or car to Rijeka.
Getting to the island of Cres from Rijeka
Without a car:
- From Rijeka (city centre) by Catamaran: Catamarans run once per day from Rijeka to Cres, at 5 pm. The catamaran ride takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes. Check the schedule and book tickets in advance on Jadrolinija’s website. The catamaran arrives near the town center, and the Moise Palaceis within walking distance.
- From Zagreb by bus and Catamaran: Take a bus from Zagreb to Rijeka (buses run frequently and the trip takes about 2 hours). You can book your ticket on Arriva’s website. From Rijeka, follow the catamaran options as described above.
- From Triestre by bus and Catamaran: Take the train from Trieste airport to Trieste Centrale. There you can find a bus from Trieste to Rijeka. From Rijeka, follow the catamaran options as described above.
Travelling by car, there are two ferry routes to reach Cres island:
- Brestova (mainland) to Porozina (Cres).
- Valbiska (Krk island, connected to the mainland by bridge) to Merag (Cres).
Consider using the dedicated Slack channel for travel arrangements and possible ride sharing.
